Director’s note & synopsis:
It is a unique theatrical performance suffused with poetry as theatre text, and acting with idioms of dance, songs and music – in short, a production with the coexistence of physicality, visuality and musicality.
It is a new performance style of theatre far from conventional forms of theatre; a theatre with the vibrant presence of actors with great potential for dance and music. The smart presentational style creates theatre out of poetry. The text is a composite of a bunch of lyrics in a bouquet chosen from popular folk songs, poems from RABINDRANATH TAGORE and Satyajit Ray, Joy Goswami, Satyendranath Dutta, Buddhadeb Basu, Shakti Chattopadhyay, Premendra Mitra and others.
The performance style is almost the traditional storytelling narrative pattern, and this will also incorporate another popular and Western form of movements along with folk tunes and all these fused into an organic whole – which will explore the poetry in essence, spirit and soul.
This production will give the performers and spectators a joyful and vivid experience. The vivacious and colourful experience can very easily induce young minds with social norms, values of relationships, responsibilities of life and so on.
